The suspension fork helps absorb bumps and vibrations on uneven roads, while the sleek matte finish adds a modern look that stands out from every angle — combining comfort and style for everyday adventures.
Smooth shifting for every adventure.
Whether cruising through the neighborhood, riding to school, or exploring weekend trails, the Shimano® 7-speed drivetrain delivers smooth and reliable gear changes for a more effortless ride.
Reliable stopping power. Confident control.
Designed for responsive braking performance, the disc brakes help riders stay in control through daily commutes, park paths, and changing riding conditions.
The 20-inch Apex is recommended for children 45–55 inches tall, while the 24-inch model fits riders 53–66 inches tall. Age can provide a rough guide, but height and inseam are more reliable because children grow at different rates.
Choose the 20-inch model for riders 45–55 inches tall and the 24-inch model for riders 53–66 inches tall. If your child falls within the 53–55-inch overlap, check that they can comfortably stand over the frame, reach the handlebars and operate both brake levers. Use our kids’ bike size guide for additional measuring and sizing guidance.
Yes, a 7-speed mountain bike gives young riders useful gearing without making shifting unnecessarily complicated. Lower gears make starting and climbing easier, while higher gears are useful on flat paths. The Apex uses a Shimano 7-speed drivetrain for neighborhood rides, school trips and light trails.
Yes, both sizes are suitable for park paths, gravel routes and beginner-friendly trails. The front suspension helps absorb smaller bumps, while the 1.95-inch all-terrain tires provide grip on mixed surfaces. You can also compare other Glerc mountain bikes for different terrain and riding needs.
Yes, the Apex is suitable for both boys and girls. Although shoppers may describe it as a 20-inch boys’ mountain bicycle, its frame, Shimano drivetrain and braking system are not gender-specific. Choose the wheel size according to the child’s height and riding ability, or browse other Glerc boys bike by size and style.
No, the Apex arrives 85% pre-assembled, with the required tools included. Follow the Glerc installation and adjustment guide, then check the brakes, gears, tire pressure and fasteners before the first ride. Consider professional assembly if you are unfamiliar with bicycle setup.
