Match the part to the bike's specs, not just the age. For baskets, training wheels, fenders, and bike lights, match the bike's wheel size (12", 14", 16", 18", 20", 24" or 26"). For inner tubes and front wheels, match both the wheel diameter and tire width (e.g., 16" x 1.75–2.125, or 700c x 35–42mm for adult bikes). For helmets, measure your child's head circumference in cm and choose XS, S, or M accordingly. Universal accessories like streamers, bells, and grips typically fit any handlebar diameter—check each product page's Size section before ordering.

Most are universally compatible, not Glerc-only. Our baskets, bells, streamers, helmets, doll bike seats, kickstands, and pedals fit most kids bikes in the matching size range, regardless of brand. Replacement tubes, front wheels, and tire-specific parts are sold by exact tire size (e.g., 20" x 1.75–2.125 or 700c x 35–42mm), so as long as your bike uses that size, the part will fit. For very specific parts like clamps, wheel nuts, and quick releases, check the product description for the original bike model it's designed for—when in doubt, contact our customer support before ordering.

Measure your child's head circumference with a soft tape measure, wrapping it around the widest part (above the eyebrows and ears). Then match the measurement to the helmet size: XS fits 44–48 cm, S fits 48–57 cm, and M fits about 54–60 cm depending on the model. A correctly sized helmet should sit level (not tipped back), with the front edge about two finger-widths above the eyebrows and the chinstrap snug but not tight. Each helmet product page lists the exact cm range—always check before ordering.

Different bike styles include different built-in accessories—our parts and accessories collection lets you fill any gaps. BMX bikes and mountain bikes don't come with a basket or streamers, so our wicker baskets, princess bow baskets, daisy baskets, and pink tassel streamers are popular add-ons. Beach cruisers and most classic bikes include a basket but not a doll seat—the Doll Bike Seat fits 12"–14" kids bikes for pretend-play rides. Helmets are never included with any bike and should be added separately for safety. Training wheels are included on most 12"–18" bikes but can be replaced if damaged, and adult-fit parts like 700c tubes and wheels are available for taller teens and adult riders.
