What sizes does the Cubsala Trident BMX come in, and who fits each size?
The Cubsala Trident BMX race bike comes in 3 wheel sizes:
20 inch BMX bike — riders 48"+ tall (ages 7+and adult riders)
24 inch BMX bike — riders 52"+ tall (ages 9+and adult riders)
26 inch BMX bike — riders 51"+ tall (ages 12+ and adult riders)
All three sizes share the same pegged BMX setup, Hi-Ten steel frame, and aluminum alloy brakes—just scaled up.
What is a BMX race bike, and how is it different from a BMX-style bike?
A BMX race bike is a true BMX built for jumping, grinding, and trick riding—not just BMX aesthetics. The Cubsala Trident is a real BMX race bike with 2 pegs included, aluminum alloy brakes (front + rear), 18T sealed hub for low maintenance, and an all-terrain tire setup for street, park, and dirt riding. Compare with our Glerc Starry, which is a BMX-style kids bike for everyday neighborhood riding (no pegs, coaster brake).
What are the pegs on the Trident BMX bike for, and are they included?
Yes—2 pegs are included on every Cubsala Trident BMX bike. BMX pegs are short metal cylinders that bolt onto the wheel axles, giving riders a footing to perform grinds (sliding along rails or ledges), stalls, and other street and skatepark tricks. The Trident is built for grinding, jumping, and trick riding at the skatepark, street spots, or pump tracks. Pegs can be removed if you only want to use the bike for casual riding.
Can adults ride the Cubsala Trident BMX?
Yes—the Trident is built for riders of all levels, from kids age 7 to adult freestyle riders. The 24 inch BMX bike (52"+) and 26 inch BMX bike (51"+) are popular with adult riders because of the sturdy Hi-Ten steel frame, aluminum brakes, and trick-ready geometry. Adult riders typically choose the 26" for 6'+ height, while teens and tweens go for the 24".
What's the difference between Trident, Crossea, and Starry?
Starry (12"-18", BMX-style kids bike) — ages 2-10 learning to ride. Coaster brake, no pegs.
Crossea (18", 20") — beginner freestyle BMX with 4 pegs. For ages 6-13 starting tricks.
Trident (20", 24", 26") — advanced BMX race bike with 2 pegs, aluminum brakes, sealed hub. For ages 7+ through adults.
Pick by your rider's skill level and intended use.
