Most Glerc models in this collection use either a front suspension fork or a rigid fork, and none currently has rear suspension. The Apex, Skyline, and Thrax have front suspension and can be described as hardtail mountain bike options. The Mars uses a rigid fork with wider tires, while full suspension mountain bikes have both front and rear suspension.

Glerc mountain bikes are intended primarily for neighborhood routes, gravel paths, parks, and beginner-friendly or light trails. They are not downhill-specific bikes designed for steep technical descents, large jumps, or lift-access bike parks. Riders looking for a dedicated downhill mountain bike should choose equipment specifically rated for that type of terrain.

The best mountain bikes for children are properly fitted and suited to their riding ability and usual terrain. When selecting a kids mountain bike, compare rider height, inseam, wheel size, bike weight, gears, brakes, tires, and suspension type. A new rider should be able to reach both brake levers and control the bike without stretching.

It can be. The 26-inch Thrax is recommended for riders approximately 63–70 inches tall, which can include taller teens and some adults.
