FAQS
What age and height is a 24-inch Glerc bike built for?
Glerc 24-inch bikes are designed for older kids and pre-teens ages 8 and up, typically fitting riders between 47 and 74 inches tall. For the most accurate fit, ensure your child's inseam falls within the recommended range of 26 to 34 inches.
What kind of brakes and gears do Glerc 24-inch bikes have?
Our 24-inch bikes feature multi-speed drivetrains, such as our 21-speed mountain bike series, which allow older kids to climb hills easily and maintain speed on flat pavement. They also come equipped with responsive front and rear handbrakes to ensure reliable, precise stopping power at higher speeds.
Is a 24 inch bike for a boy or a girl?
Both. A 24" bike works for boys, girls, and older kids of any gender — wheel size is about rider height, not style. Glerc's 24" collection includes options for every preference:
Missy (beach cruiser hybrid) — Mint Green, Pink, Peach, Purple, White, Yellow
Nova (belt drive) — Lunar Titanium, Aurora Blue
Mars (mountain bike) — Black, Blue, Gray, Orange
Skyline (21-speed MTB) — Black, Navy Blue, Slate Blue, Green, Pink
Trident (BMX) — Black, White, Gold, Gray
Is a 24 inch bike better than a 20 inch bike?
It depends on the rider's size. A 24 inch bike is bigger, faster, and rides longer distances more comfortably than a 20"—better for taller kids (47"+) who have outgrown their 20" bike. A 20 inch bike is easier to control for shorter riders (45"–60") and more forgiving for newer cyclists. If your child can comfortably stand over a 24" frame with both feet flat, they're ready to size up.
