20 Inch Bike

20" bikes are designed for kids ages 7–13 with a height of 48"–60" and an inseam of 22"–26". Average bike weight is around 26 lbs. Since kids grow at different rates, the inseam is the most accurate measure — your child should be able to stand flat-footed over the top tube with about 1–2" of clearance. 20" Glerc bikes do not include training wheels — at this size, kids are ready to ride independently, which is why models like Little Miss, Little Molly, Maggie, and Fantacy are labeled "No Training Wheels." Most 20" models do come with a sturdy kickstand, with one exception: our Belt Drive Nova series (18", 20", and 24") ships without a kickstand to keep the frame as lightweight as possible. If your child is still learning balance, an 18" bike with training wheels is a better starting point.
